The skin is the largest organ of the body and is constantly renewing and changing… just as we are throughout our lives. So how do we keep it fresh, young, and vital? Starting with the teen years, and then work our way through the 20’s, 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, and finish with the 60’s and beyond; we’ll give you an idea of what is happening at these ages and tips on how to keep your skin healthy and vital.
Developing a skincare regimen is important and doing it consistently from any early age will help you to maintain youthful skin. Then as you go through life your skin will change and your regimen will need to be tweaked a bit to accommodate these changes.
Tips and Habits to Have Throughout Your Life:
• Stay out of the Sun and use SPF!
• Drink plenty of water
• Maintain a healthy diet
• Develop great skincare habits from an early age and consistently take care of your skin

Your 20’s
At this point your skin is at its healthiest and has natural collagen support to it. After this point your skin starts to lose its collagen. You may start to notice fine lines and wrinkles. Also, a lot of women start to develop Acne at this time in their life; you may need to use less drying products and keep skin hydrated. Since the skin is still dewy and supple you want to protect its natural moisture.
You definitely need to start exfoliating 1-3 times a week. Also, start using an eye cream that is hydrating. This will help to prevent the lines around the eyes in the future. SPF is key to preventing wrinkles and damage to skin cells. Don’t forget to also protect your neck, chest, and hands. You can also prevent the signs of aging in these areas as well.
No need to start any harsh wrinkle creams or deep peels on skin. Simply SPF protect, gentle peels, and home care that is hydrating as well as exfoliating. Stay away from tanning beds!!
